ISG takes the lead at Design and Build Conference

ISG’s head of Berlin, Steffen Kühn, featured as headline speaker at the Design & Build Conference last week, sharing expert insight on the features and challenges of design and build. 

ISG was the main sponsor of the event, which was held in the German capital and hosted over 150 decision-makers and delegates spanning the construction and real estate industries. 

Following on from last year’s inaugural conference, which considered the widely used procurement model used in both the US and the UK, this year’s event furthered the discussion while shining a light on success stories and areas where progress has been made over the past 12 months.

Discussions also centred around the digitalisation of the built industry in Germany, as well as new trends which are set to emerge during 2018.

According to ISG’s lead in Berlin, a clear approach is essential when it comes to design and build contracts.

"Comprehensive transparency is the prerequisite for design and build,” Steffen explained.

“Transparent insights into contracts and accounting books create the necessary trust among all parties."

The Design and Build Conference took place on 12 April 2018 at the historic Humboldt Carré venue in Berlin.
